Coffee and cannabis is one of our favorite combos. This Saturday we feature our second pairing; Clover Hill Cannabis’ Blueberry Muffins & Brio Coffeeworks‘ Worka Sakaro.

Michelle Shane is the owner and cultivator at Clover Hill Cannabis, a small batch, craft cannabis company tucked away in South Strafford, VT. Her Blueberry Muffins is a shop fave and we are excited to bring in her latest harvest. This indica-leaning cultivar lives up to its name with an aroma that bears a striking resmblance to the real thing…think berries, toasty vanilla and sugary muffin tops. We love the relaxing vibe that takes the edge off without being too sedating. With our delivery this week, we are also receiving her Blueberry Muffins tincture made with full-spectrum, cultivar-specific extract and live cannabis terpenes for a full-flavored, full-body effect. We have matched Blueberry Muffins with a coffee grown in the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia and processed by Worka Sakaro, a collective that works with smallholder farmers that favor heirloom varieties. Nate Van Dusen, co-founder and head roaster at Brio, was recently in the shop to dial in the brew for this beautifully-roasted bean. He describes the flavor profile this way; “blueberry jam meets kiwi brightness, with a smooth butterscotch sweetness tying it all together.” As with all natural-process coffees, expect a little funk 😉. We think this one leans more sour (acidic) than bitter as far as coffees go; it’s lively, bright and complex.
