In Yiddish, Mechayeh means “coming back to life”. It is a sudden awakening to aliveness, followed by a deepening sense of beauty and unexpected delight. For the co-founders of this pre-roll brand, Melissa Story and David Mickenberg, Mechayeh is an opportunity to redefine the cannabis experience as a path to presence, healing, and meaningful connection. Their mission to cultivate community takes physical form in Mechayeh’s flagship product, The Vermont Variety Pack, which brings together flower from four different growers in a colorful box of 7 half gram dogwalkers. The flowers are handpicked by Melissa, a certified ganjier. The selection changes every 6-8 weeks as does the design of the box. Recently, Mechayeh added the Chai Pack, which includes 18 half gram dogwalkers made from the flower of three different growers.

She is deeply committed to stigma reduction efforts, and helping others quit or reduce their substance use. David is an attorney in Burlington, Vermont that has been actively involved in drug policy reform efforts at a local, state and national level for the last 25 years. He started his career at the Drug Policy Alliance where he worked on a variety of drug policy reform campaigns. Bring your curiousity and your questions, Melissa and David love to engage.
