July 26th: Learn To Grow Gourmet Mushrooms The Madcap Way

Date and Time

Sunday, July 26th · 2;00-4;00pm EDT

Location

Lucky You, 190 College Street Burlington, VT 05401

Duration

2 Hours

At Lucky You, we are all about assisting you in building relationships with plants & mushrooms to boost your vitality. One of our favorite ways to do that is to connect you to resources to grow your own. When we grow our own food or medicine, we don’t just learn about the plants and fungi, we learn a little about ourselves too.

Join us in the Lucky You Lounge this Sunday afternoon to learn how to grow gourmet mushrooms from the pros. Blake and Lindsey Goldberg have been growing gourmet mushrooms since 2021. They started inside a 400-square-foot tiny home. The mushrooms quickly took over. 🍄‍🟫 After Blake retired from the Air Force in 2022 they settled in Vermont, and by January of 2024, Madcap Mushrooms LLC was born. Today, they’re still hands-on, still slightly unhinged, and as mad about mushrooms as ever.

About The Class

Whether you’re a newbie or a mushroom maestro, come step into the “Madcap” world of gourmet mushroom cultivation. This workshop is open to all skill levels. Blake & Lindsey will walk you through the basics of lab work, grain preparation, incubation, substrate creation, and fruiting techniques. Everything that you need so you too can grow like a pro. Come for the knowledge, stay for the fungal fellowship, and leave with a Madcap Mushroom grow bag, ready to spread the spores of gourmet mushrooms far and wide. Students will be able to choose between Lion’s Mane, King Blue Oyster, and Phoenix Oyster kits, a $35 value.

Tickets are $40 per person and are available for purchase here. Lucky You Loyalty members that attend the class can “check in” and receive 100 Rewards Points!
