Dry January is about to be in the rear view mirror. It’s been hard to miss this year’s increased interest in the annual ritual. Everybody’s got their reasons: some are sober curious, some are taking a little break from alcohol after the holidays, and for others, it’s an opportunity to explore different functional ingredients like medicinal herbs 🌱, adaptogenic mushrooms or nootropics as part of their selfcare routine. And of course, there’s a whole exciting world of flavors in the alcohol-free space that seems to be growing by the day.
At Lucky You we’re committed to feeding your curiosity and enthusiasm by stocking what we believe to be some of the best brands and products in the market. We stand behind these brands with a robust sampling program (We 💛 putting sips to lips!) and our educational approach to retail.
At the center of this approach has been our weekly Happy AF Hour on Friday evenings. We have been hosting these events since May of last year. During this time we have explored numerous ways you can utilize the products we stock to make delicious AF cocktails at home. We figured it was a good time to start sharing some of our favorite recipes to further fuel your AF exploration into February and beyond. Here’s looking at you Dry July! 😉
At this week’s Happy AF hour we are featuring our take on the classic Old Fashioned; we’ve dubbed it the Lucky You Dirty AF Old Fashioned. What makes it dirty? A little splash of the Amarena Fabbri cherry syrup 🍒. We have chosen Cheeky’s Habanero Hot Honey as a replacement for the traditional simple syrup. This adds a little heat to mimic the “burn” that alcohol provides. We stock Cheeky’s simple syrup if you prefer to leave the heat at the door.
