Introducing Coach Nikki, the First Member of the Lucky You Wellness Team!

Lucky You – More Than A Cannabis Store

Lucky You is more than a cannabis store. Our goal has always been to place cannabis within a healthy lifestyle and to boost the overall wellness of our community. Part of that vision has been the development of a team of healthcare professionals to support you.

My partner at Lucky You, Shayne Lynn, and I have been lifelong athletes. We were both student-athletes at the University of Vermont; I was on the Women’s Basketball Team and Shayne was on the Alpine Ski Team. As we  navigate mid-life, we are intent on keeping up our fitness. That looks very different now than it did in the 1990’s. Shayne has been enjoying High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) classes lead by Nicole Ackerly for building muscle and endurance. HIIT sessions are a shorter time frame then traditional workouts. They also enhance metabolic health, disrupting the aging process. It can also reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, enhancing overall mental well-being. We all want a longer, healthier life. ~ Bridget Conry

Say Hi 👋 to Coach Nikki!

We are delighted to introduce our first Lucky You Wellness Team Member, Nicole Ackerly (aka Coach Nikki);

I have lived in Vermont for 11 years with my husband, daughter (a Junior at UVM), son (a Senior at Rice Memorial High School) and 2 rescue dogs, Ziggy and Marley. I have been an athlete all my life, playing volleyball, and running three season track throughout high school and college. I enjoy hiking, SUPing, being on our boat and having fun on the lake. I have completed Bachelor’s Degrees in Athletic Training and Nursing.

After several years working with critically-ill dialysis patients, and then in a rural school system, I shifted my focus to fitness and wellbeing. For 15 years I have helped others improve their quality of life through a variety of strength and conditioning programs. Along the way, I’ve earned two certifications in kettlebell training (HKC, and StrongFirst), certification as a Spinning instructor, ACE personal trainer, CPR, First Aid & AED. Recently I completed an Assisted Stretching Certification and UVM’s Certified Health and Wellness Coaching course.

Two years ago I started my own business, Hypeothesis. I teach fitness classes at Momentum Physical Therapy in South Burlington and will begin leading stretch classes at Hula in March. I work with people of all ages, genders, cultures and levels of health and fitness. As a coach, I create challenging, achievable workouts centered on safety, technique and data. I believe health and fitness should have an element of fun, in a genuinely entertaining and unique way. It has become my passion to help guide people in setting and achieving their health, wellness, and fitness goals. Having worked with people from every walk of life, anything can be adapted to fit one’s needs. Accessibility and community are key.
