We’re talking Noughty de-alcoholized wines! What were you thinking? 😉
Up until now, our alcohol-free section has focused primary on ready-to-drink cocktails and spirits. As we head into the holiday season we have been keeping a close eye on the de-alcoholized wines available in the market. We have been looking for smooth, great-tasting wines that are low in sugar and pair well with food. Ideally, each would be difficult to discern as alcohol-free in a blind-tasting. NoughtyAF by Thomson & Scott checks all the boxes! We are bringing in three of their wines to kick off the category in the shop and will be tasting each of them this Friday evening;
Rouge; Made from Syrah grapes grown in South Africa, and aged for 12 months, this well-balanced red exhibits ripe fruit, crushed black pepper, and dried rose petals. De-alcoholized to 0.5% ABV.
Sparkling Rosé; Made from organic Tempranillo grapes from vineyards in southern Spain, this clean and refreshing sparkling wine is fermented in stainless steel before being dealcoholized through vacuum distillation to 0.0%ABV. Noughty recommends pairing with salt, spice and Asian cusine.
Sparkling Chardonnay; Made from organic Chardonnay grapes from vineyards in southern Spain, this wine is an elegant alcohol-free take on a classic. Pair it perfectly with hors d’oeuvres or your next girl dinner.
